David Carlin: Oneiroi Komplex
Surreal story telling paintings, sculptures and videos by David Carlin
May 6 - June 30, 2018. Carlin's sculptures, paintings and videos are a surreal interweaving of legends, landscapes and dreams. This exhibition reflects on the power of chaos and role it plays in ancient and modern mythologies. David Carlin's images become part of a personal mythology which is a surreal interweaving of legends, landscapes, and dreams - a tapestry woven in a complex of questions about our histories, about who we are now and about what kind of future we are evolving into.
Canadian artist, David Carlin was born in Toronto, Ontario, but has lived in the Nipissing District of Northern Ontario for almost 50 years. He maintains a studio in North Bay on the north shore of Lake Nipissing.
