WHY THE ARTS MATTER
This is more than a gallery - it's a lifeline. By supporting TAG, you help youth discover their voice, seniors stay connected, and artists share their work.

Art builds belonging.
77% of Canadians say arts experiences help them feel part of their community.
Art changes lives.
Youth engaged in the arts show improved mental health, academic achievement, and citizenship.
Art strengthens rural places.
In smaller communities like ours, the arts foster pride, resilience, and connection.

Loretta Stevens
"When we moved to Haileybury in 2021, TAG's Open Studio Libre lived up to its name; the people there welcomed me with open arms and caring hearts. Open Studio Libre became my introduction to our new community and the place I've got to know some of my new best friends."
Loretta has since become an instructor with us for watercolour, stained glass and sewing, and is an avid volunteer.
Peter Greyson
"Thank you to TAG for Open Studio Libre and Art in the Park. The studio is a very welcoming atmosphere with so many resources. Art in the Park is always well attended and so much fun. And congratulations with what's been done with the gallery - such amazing free exhibits. You deserve way more funding."
Peter is an artist, author, activitist and former curator of the Temsikaming Art Gallery.
