This exhibition explores the idea of “truthful sculpture”—art that captures the moment where creativity and vision meet reality. Using natural materials such as antlers, cedar, and birch, alongside reclaimed materials like aluminum cans, Chevrier’s work exists at the intersection of vision and reality, the natural world and human activity, the juncture of past, present, and future, all filtered through his personal perspective as an Indigenous elder, knowledge keeper, community worker, and artist.

The focus of Syzygy Yr. 2 is on on cultural awareness and social education regarding 2SLGBTQI+ experiences, featuring international artists and installations from Brazil, Mexico, Columbia and Canada.

This retrospective exhibition showcases artwork from Shirley's long artistic journey. Never afraid of trying something new, Shirley's oeuvre includes a wide variety of media and subject matter infused with her signature sense of humour.
