Due to the current precautions being taken over the next several weeks TAG has decided to provide some ideas for crafts/art/activities at home. These will be in line with the planned scheduled activities that have been postponed.

Today we were to have our song writing workshop with Robyn Dewar at the Open Studio Libre. Below is a link to one of her original songs ‘Home Grown’ performed live at the historic Miners Tavern in Cobalt. On that note your creative challenge for today is to write your own song. You can do this with a friend or by yourself. Once you've written your song, have a concert for your family or record your song and share it with your friends online. For a little extra fun I have included some tutorials on how to make your own instruments at home. The second link is a video on how to make a harmonica and it explains a bit about the science of sound! The next links use recycled material to make bottle cap castanets, plastic spoon maracas and paper roll rain-stick. We hope you find them entertaining! Please feel free to like and share. If you do create a musical masterpiece we would love to hear it. Take a video or picture and tag us #temiskamingartgallery.

That's it for now have a great day folks. Tune in tomorrow for another great craft idea.

Sincerely; Your friendly neighbourhood art gallery.
