The inspiration for this piece came from my youngest son who loved to read. ...The finished clay has experienced movement and transformation in the kiln – a birthing process if you will. So creating sculptures of my children was like giving them life – forever.
L’inspiration de cette pièce m’est venue de mon plus jeune fils qui adore la lecture… Une fois terminée, l’argile a subi mouvement et transformation en cours de cuisson — une sorte d’accouchement, si vous voulez. Ainsi, créer des sculptures de mes enfants, c’était comme leur donner vie — pour toujours.
