Being an artist in northern Ontario. Most, but not all of my subjects have had a northern Ontario basis. Some reflect history such as the Adams Mine protest paintings and no longer standing mine head-frames. As the world evolves more and more into a global village, I foresee my artwork being less influenced by northern Ontario; however, one cannot totally separate yourself from your surroundings (see Temiskaming Lake, in the TAG Permanent Collection). The point of reference is still northern Ontario.
