Biographies > Donna Howie

Fellow artist Cathy Cribbs describes Donna Howie’s work as holding a mystical air, a sense of something hidden, yet positive and uplifting. Using egg tempera and watercolour, she has painted landscape and nature in Europe, western Canada and locally in northeastern Ontario (Blossoms, and On the Third Day). She has been a regular at the Cobalt Artists’ Colony.

Donna lives in Timmins where she was a high school art teacher. She has promoted art in schools and the community, as well as being very involved in the Porcupine Art Club and the Northern Ontario Art Association. Donna has had her work shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions.1
