Sheila Maki focussed for much of her art career on printmaking. However she had to give up printmaking in 2001 and she now concentrates on drawing and painting. She has been living in Toronto, Ontario since 1969. Sheila moved her studio to Unionville (Markham) in the Greater Toronto Area in 1980 and has worked there since then. She has exhibited her work in many countries in Europe and Asia as well as the US and Canada, including the World Print Show in California and the Pratt Institute in New York among others.

La carrière artistique de Sheila Maki est surtout centrée sur la gravure. Obligée toutefois d’abandonner cette discipline en 2001, elle se concentre désormais au dessin et à la peinture. Elle vit à Toronto, Ontario, depuis 1969. En 1980, elle installe son studio à Unionville (Markham), en banlieue de Toronto, d’où proviennent désormais ses œuvres. Elle a exposé dans plusieurs pays d’Europe et d’Asie, ainsi qu’au Canada et aux États-Unis, y compris aux expositions internationales de gravures de Californie et du Pratt Institute de New York.
