Barely North: Geographic Relativity
A selection of artwork from the TAG Permanent Collection that features different perspectives about the region we live, work, and play in.
To launch our year of celebrating art and life in the Temiskaming Region, we will be hosting an exhibition from Temiskaming Art Gallery's Permanent Collection. The exhibition's title, Barely North recognizes that in comparison to how far north Ontario extends, we really are, barely north. The exhibition creates a dialogue around the land and climate's effect on our lives and mindset, as we live, work and play in the 'barely north.'
From waterfalls to pressure cracks, quirky streets in Cobalt and headframes, to pasture land, and everything in between, this exhibition shows our reality as we live out our days on the shores of Lake Temiskaming.
