Walter Pape: The last three years

Walter Pape started painting in 1967 working primarily in oil paint, but throughout his career slowly moved to watercolour and acrylics. More recently he has started experimenting with etching and printmaking. This exhibition will focus on works produced by the artist within the last three years. 

Three artists, three visions, by Diane Green, Myra McCarthy and Susan Mancantelli

Threadworks is a special project of the Ontario Network of Needleworkers sponsored by the Wellington County Museum & Archives. Every three years Threadworks organizes a juried exhibition of exceptionally creative needlework stitched by artists across Canada. This year the theme for the juried show is "Trees".

Faye Digulla is an artist originally from Northern Ontario. For the past year the focus of her work has been centered on producing visual and sculptural books, as well as large scale paintings that explore the emotional, social, and cultural aspects of the people living in Northern Ontario.  

Northern Ontario Art Association’s 53 rd Annual Juried Exhibition

The Northern Ontario Arts Association is a non-profit organization that helps link artists from different northern communities by giving them a forum to exchange ideas and exhibit their work on a wider scale.  The annual juried competition allows artists to earn their NOAA letters.  An artist receives their letters once they have had seven works exhibited in the annual juried show.

Bruce Cull, a true northern artist is linked closely to his community and the landscape that surrounds him.  His art has always reflected this interaction between himself, others, and nature.  His art communicates to the onlooker through familiar symbols and compelling imagery.

This exhibition will focus on the works of two artists, Laura Landers and Elizabeth Holmes.  Laura Landers is an artist who uses pen, ink, pastels, and pencil in her work. Through the development of her career Laura has begun branching out into watercolour, ink resist, and mixed media.

Elizabeth HolmesElizabeth Holmes, Back EntranceElizabeth Holmes, Back Entrance is an artist who notices the beauty in small, dismissed items. Working primarily in black and white, the character of the discarded item is made prominent, bringing attention to the perfection of the imperfect. 

These two artists compliment each other in their artistic use of colour, black and white and techniques. 

The Willisville Mountain Project

“The Willisville Mountain Project is an artistic project to celebrate the four seasons of The Willisville Mountain by 45 artists who have been inspired by its natural beauty.”

Willisville Mountain is located in the heart of the La Cloche Mountains, one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world.

Palette & Brush Club annual exhibition

Every year members of the Temiskaming Palette & Brush Club are invited to submit two paintings, which were produced according to the yearly theme for their annual exhibition at TAG.  A viewer’s choice award is given out at the reception, make sure to come and cast your vote!
