Joan Zageris says she is captivated by the medium of watercolour. She uses its fluidity and transparency to create her realistic studies of still life and scenes. They are full of life and light and expresses her deep love of nature.
Joan was born in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. She studied at Carleton University and went on to pursue her art at Fanshawe College of Art and Design. Throughout her over twenty-six years career, she has had numerous solo exhibitions and participated in many more group exhibitions in Quebec and Ontario. Her work is in many private and corporate collections as well public collections such as TAG. In 2006 she was elected into the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour (CSPWC) and the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA). Joan shares her skill and love of her art by frequently offering courses and teaching.
